UVa women stops VT

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Virginia women topped Virginia 52-48 in the ACC opener for both teams, Thursday night.

China Crosby led the Cavaliers with 16 and Ataira Franklin added 13.

Money Tellier led the Hokies and all scorers with 20, while Uju Ugoka tallied 16. Tellier also had six assists and Ugoka snagged six rebounds.
