Brown guides Concord past WVU-Tech

ATHENS — Thomas Brown scored 23 points to lead four Concord players in double figures in the Mountain Lions’ 93-78 win over West Virginia Tech on Monday night at the Carter Center.

Concord (5-1) set season highs with 93 points and 46 rebounds.

Damien Tunstalle added 19 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for the Mountain Lions.

Mike Boyd contributed 18 points and five assists.

Jordan Davis also received double digits with 10 points, along with six rebounds.

Concord will visit West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday.

The Concord women’s basketball team dropped a 72-66 decision earlier on Monday against Virginia Intermont, also at the Carter Center.
