Bluefield State snaps 41-game losing skid

GLENVILLE — The Bluefield State College Big Blues ended a 41-game losing streak with an 84-75 win Thursday night at Glenville State. The Big Blues got 26 points from Joseph Dawkins, 22 from Roy Cooper and 11 from Avery Holliday. Sam Ouedraogo cleared 10 rebounds for the Big Blues (1-16, 1-12) who will next host Shepherd, Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. The Lady Blues fell to the Glenville, the No. 1 WVIAC team, 97-74. Drgana Tomic led BSC with 16 points and Indy Hauser added 12. The Lady Blues are now 10-6 overall and 8-5 in conference play. They return to action Saturday afternoon, also hosting Shepherd. Tip off is 2 p.m. at the Ned Shott Gymnasium.
