GRUNDY, Va. — A Kentucky woman died of injuries received in a single-vehicle accident on U.S. Route 460 west of Grundy, according to a report filed by Trooper A.W. Boyd of the Virginia State Police.
Mary Alice Justus, 72, of Mouth Card, Ky., was driving a 2002 Volkswagen “Bug” on Route 460 when she ran off the road to the right, over-corrected her vehicle, lost control of her vehicle, struck a tree on the right and went over an embankment, according to Boyd’s report.
Boyd responded to the accident at 8:15 a.m. The accident occurred .3 of a mile east of Route 700.
