HURLEY, Va. — A Buchanan County teenager died at the scene of a single vehicle accident on Friday morning.
Jeffery Adam Ramey, 19, of Hurley was pronounced dead at 9:10 a.m., in the accident on Route 642, one and one-quarter miles from Route 83 in Buchanan County, according to a report filed by Trooper G.S. Barnett of the Virginia State Police.
Ramey was driving a 1998 Mercury Mystic on a two-lane undivided asphalt road when he ran off the road to the left and struck an embankment, according to Barnett’s report. The State Police received the call concerning the accident at 8:10 a.m.
