Norma Jean Pennington Bradley

PETERSTOWN — Norma Jean Pennington Bradley, age 74, of Peterstown, W.Va., passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, Pearisburg, Va. Born August 3, 1935 at McAlpine, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Dollie Thomas Pennington. Norma was a devoted mother, a homemaker, was of the Pentecostal faith and was raised in Oakvale, W.Va. then moved to Peterstown, W.Va. in 1979. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Marshall Bradley; one son, Steven Bradley; one brother, Christopher Pennington; and one sister, Nancy Pennington Breeden.

Survivors include three sons, Marshall Dean Bradley and wife Charlotte of King George, Va., Rick Bradley of Peterstown, W.Va. and Ronald Ellis Bradley, Sr. and wife Rebecca of Ballard, W.Va.; three brothers, Benny Pennington and wife Mildred of Rich Creek, Va., Keith Pennington of Peterstown, W.Va. and Ronald Pennington and wife Gail of Princeton, W.Va.; one sister, Ima Jean Pennington Simpkins of Peterstown, W.Va.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradley Cemetery, Lindside, W.Va., with Marshall Bradley, David Bradley, Ronald Bradley, Jr. Jacob Bradley, David Simpkins and Larry Simpkins serving as pallbearers. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the funeral home.
