BLUEFIELD — Esther Hazel Dinger, age 90, of Route 1 Box 475 (Littlesburg Road), Bluefield, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at her residence.
Born on November 19, 1919 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Elbert and Ellen Hall Dinger. She had been a resident of Littlesburg Road for most of her life and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was retired from Woolco where she worked as a stock coordinator.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Arless, Kyle and Ward Dinger.
Survivors include two brothers, Raymond Dinger and wife Sarah of Bluefield, Fred Dinger and wife Junette of Bluefield; two sisters, Nana Bell Dinger of Bluefield, Ella “Polly” Proffitt and husband Ira of Bluefield; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. Larry Roberts and the Rev. David Nunley officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Mike Dinger, Chad, Travis, Jimmy and Cody Proffitt, and Michael Tagnesi serving as pallbearers.
Friends called on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
