FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Elva Perkins, of 106 E. Main St., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009 at the Carol S. Roberson Hospice House in Fayetteville, N.C.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Red Springs, N.C. with the Rev. Bob Okeef officiating.
Elva was born in Bluefield, W.Va. where she met her husband, Dick Perkins. Dick and Elva married on March 21, 1958. They moved to Michigan where Dick worked for General Motors for 30 years. They retired to Lumber Bridge, N.C. in 1992.
Elva was preceded in death by her daughter, Landa.
She is survived by her husband, Dick; grandson, Michael Smith; and great-granddaughter, Julia Smith of Clarkston, Mich.
The family will receive friends and relatives after the service at 106 East Main Street, Lumber Bridge, N.C.
