Wayne Lee Mico

ABBS VALLEY, Va. — Wayne Lee Mico, 60, of Abbs Valley, Va., passed away on Saturday December 5, 2009 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Wayne was born August 26, 1949 at Bluefield Sanitarium. He was the son of John and Margaret Bowman Mico of Abbs Valley, Va. Wayne was a resident of Abbs Valley for all of his life. He always helped his family, friends and neighbors in any way he could. He loved going to all the local flea markets and yard sales. Wayne worked for Sealy Mattress Company, Virginia Foods and was a security guard for Preservati Coal Company at Gary, W.Va. for several years.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Clarence and Sally Bowman; parental grandparents, John and Anna Mico; special aunts, Gloria Bowman Little and Earlene Bowman Gouge; uncles, Morris Bowman, William Bowman, and Bill Mico.

Wayne is survived by his parents along with his fiancee, Mila Presley of Anawalt, W.Va.; uncles, William and Sue Perry Bowman of Indiana, and Eddie and Mary Lou Mico of Michigan; several cousins; and a host of friends and special friend, Jim Howard who was like a brother to Wayne.

Viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 9, 2009 at Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Baker and the Rev. Bill Davis officiating. Burial will take place on December 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, Va. Family and friends will meet at the Grandview Mausoleum on December 10, 2009 at 11:00 am. Pallbearers will be Eddie Hedrick, Melvin Simons, Kelly French, Arnie Walters, Harry Hubble, Chuck Pridemore, Sr., Chuck Pridemore, Jr. and Gregory Mico.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hubert Asbury, Jim Howard, Danny Rebkovich, Steve Rebkovich, Hebert Hess and Tommy Davis. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rescue 945 and Abbs Valley Baptist Church in Abbs Valley, Va.

Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va. is serving the Mico family.
