TAZEWELL, Va. — Katherine H. Larimer, age 96, of Tazewell, Va., died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Eastview Adult Care in Bluefield, Va. Born July 15, 1913 at North Tazewell, Va., she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Nellie Walk Boothe. She was a longtime member of the Tazewell Presbyterian Church. In earlier years she was very active in the Women of the Church and in the Tazewell Community Hospital Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, W.R. “Roy” Larimer; her second husband, W.R. Correll; two sons, Andy Larimer and an infant son, Jackie Denton Larimer; two sisters, Nannie Baldridge and Irene “Shorty” Moore; three brothers, Tom Newman, Bob Boothe, and Bill Boothe.

Survivors include three sons, Sam R. Larimer and wife, Betty of Barnesville, Ga., W.R. “Bill” Larimer, Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Dalton, Ga., and David T. Larimer and wife, Lynne of Thompson Valley, Va.; five grandchildren, Gary R. Larimer of Barnesville, Ga., Lisa Larimer Wood of Dalton, Ga., Tom Larimer and wife, Melissa of Marietta, Ga., David T. Larimer, II. and wife, Heather of Tazewell, Va., and Davina Larimer Perkins and husband, Brad of Sasebo, Japan; three great-grandchildren, Mason Wood, Ty Larimer, and Andrew Larimer; nurse and caregiver, Marlene Salyer of Eastview Adult Care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Tazewell Presbyterian Church in Tazewell, Va. with the Rev. Greg Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Va. The family will receive friends at the church after 12:00 noon on Thursday.
