REDONDO BEACH, Calif. — On November 21, 2009, Rose Oliver passed away at the age of 87. Rose was born in Utah and moved to West Virginia at the age of two. She lived there until 1956 when she relocated with her family to California. Rose was a remarkable, radiant woman. Everyone who met her could see the love she had for her family and for all people. She loved God and it showed in everything she did. Rose always saw the bright side of things. "Some people complain because God put thorns on roses, while others praise Him for putting roses among thorns." -Anonymous.
Rose had a gift for teaching in which she excelled for 44 years. She was admired by her students and their parents. Her brother, Dominick, as well as all her loved ones, will truly miss her. No words can express how wonderful Rose was. It is something we will always keep in our hearts.
