Patricia Mae Singer Walker

ALBANY, Ga. — Patricia Mae Singer Walker age, 79, of Albany, Ga. formerly of Berwind, W.Va. and Somerset, Ky. passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the Pheobe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga. Born January 15, 1930 in Chesapeake, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Devern “Babe” Singer and Gladys Provens Singer. Mrs. Walker retired with over twenty years of service from Southern Housing Management in Somerset, Ky. She enjoyed sewing, decorating and especially doting on her grandchildren. She was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lansing Harold “Bud” Walker; one granddaughter, Melissa Michelle Stanchina; one great-grandson, Austin Stanchina; one brother, Johnny Singer.

Survivors include, as Mrs. Walker like to say four girls, Vickie, Debbie, Terri, and Sandra; Victoria Stanchina and husband, Jerry of Albany, Ga., Deborah Brewster and husband, Robert of Tazewell, Va., Teresa Jo Smith of Frankfort, Ky., and Sandra Walker and special friend Ben of Lexington, Ky.; one brother, Danny Ray Singer of Chesapeake, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Rob, Taffy, Jerry, Joe, Terry Allen, Sheri Ann, Jeremy, Josh, and Jason; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with the Rev. Rodney Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at the Hartwell Cemetery in Hartwell, W.Va.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
