DENTON, N.C. — Patsy Engle Eades, 80, of 2519 S. Main St. Ext. in Denton, N.C., formerly of Princeton, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Hospice of Davidson County in Lexington, N.C. Born September 4, 1929 in Williamson, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William James and Marye Virginia Hensdill Engle. She was a retired nurse with forty-two years service working at Princeton Community Hospital and the Mercer County Health Center. She had also formerly worked at nursing homes in North Carolina and Georgia. In addition to her parents, her husband, Louis Harry Eades; and one daughter, Judith Marie Martin preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, William M. “Mike” Sparks and wife Mary and David D. Eades and wife Angela, all of Denton, N.C.; one stepson, Louis Eades, Jr.; fourteen grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, William James Engle, Jr. of Chesapeake, Va.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday November 27, 2009 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Danny Gunnoe officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 p.m. until the service hour on Friday.
