NEWHALL — Steven Michael "Mike" Harmon, age 55, of Newhall, died Sunday, November 22, 2009, at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg, Va. Born April 21, 1954, in Warriormine, he was the son of the Blaine Elbert and JoAnn Pippin Harmon of Warriormine.

He was a supervisor of fabrications at Con-Weld in Princeton. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Genevieve Johnson Harmon of Newhall; two daughters, Jessica Harmon of Newhall, Audrie' Harmon of Statesville, N.C.; three sisters, Brenda Asbury and husband William of Warrormine, Barbara Harmon and husband Burl of Squire, Anna McGraph and husband Gerrie of Christiansburg, Va.; four grandchildren, Courtney Hughes, Ethan Marek, Katlyn Marek and Dillon Marek.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 1 p.m. from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in War with Pastor Wilmer Muncy officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va.

Friends may call Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the funeral home, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
