Pamela H. Gagner Wyatt

CLEMMONS, N.C. — Pamela H. Gagner Wyatt, 54, of Clemmons, N.C., passed away November 20, 2009, at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born January 10, 1955, in Rutherford County, N.C.

She graduated from the McColl Graduate School of Business at Queens University in Charlotte, N.C. with a Masters in Business Administration where she was a Blumenthal Fellow. She graduated with honors in 1973 from East Rutherford High School in Forest City, N.C. While her early career was spent in banking and real estate, she soon found her passion for solving community problems channeled into the non-profit sector through several key positions during the past 20 years. She is credited with founding Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Carolina Foothills in Rutherford County, N.C. prior to relocating to the Winston-Salem area in 1997.

She had a successful career as a respected leader in the non-profit community, having most recently served as Vice-President of the Poor and Needy Division of Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust in Winston-Salem, N.C. Prior to returning to Winston-Salem in November of 2008, she served as President of Cape Fear Area United Way in Wilmington, N.C., President of Smart Start of Forsyth County, Vice-President of Community Impact for United Way of Forsyth County, and President of Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Forsyth County.

Ms. Wyatt was well-respected for her passion, dedication and leadership as an executive in the non-profit community. Her creativity and talent for entrepreneurial problem-solving around community issues established a track record of excellence in all that she undertook.

Pam was well-loved by her extended family of ‘Pam Fans’ for her compassion, strength of will, strong character, integrity and generous spirit. She was an organizer extraordinaire, known far and wide for her list-making and delegating ability. Pam was bold and courageous in setting goals for both her personal and professional life, achieving anything she set her mind to do.

She will be profoundly missed by her husband, Randy Wyatt; daughters, Jennifer and Amanda Gagner, Michelle Harris and Summer Wyatt; grandchildren, Madison Earls, Peyton Gagner, Stacey and Jacob Harris; grandmother, Wilma Jones; her chosen sister, Kim Keel; her parents, Glenn and Carolyn; and a wide network of extended family and friends.

The family will greet friends Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Frank Vogler & Sons Clemmons Chapel, 2849 Middlebrook Drive, Clemmons, NC 27012. A service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2009, at the Frank Vogler & Sons Clemmons Chapel. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory, Clemmons, N.C.
