Ronald G. Miller

KEGLEY — Ronald G. Miller, 80, of Kegley, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born April 7, 1929 at Bluefield, he was the son of the late Tam and Esta Dawn Farley Miller.

Mr. Miller was a retired coal miner from Crane Creek and was a member of the UMWA. He loved his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with family and friends and especially going camping. He was of the Baptist faith and is resting with his savior Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Miller; and one granddaughter, Angela Dawn Miller.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Margie Bessie Nesbit Miller; two sons, Kenneth Miller and his wife Sheila and Dwight Miller and his wife Sharon, all of Camp Creek; four grandchildren, Kristie Bridges and her husband Billy of Spanishburg, Jennie Mays and her husband J.P. of Athens, Matthew Miller and his wife Amy of Bluefield, Pennie Goins and her husband Joshua of Spanishburg; and eight great-grandchildren, Daniel and Holli Miller, Kaylyn and Lacy Beth Bridges, Bethany, Jessica and Maggie Mays, Heidi Goins and one more great grandchild on the way, Ashlyn Marie Miller; one sister, Darlene Hurst of Princeton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Revs. Ralph Calfee and Archie Bowling officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Miller, Billy Bridges, J.P. Mays, Joshua Goins, Keith Hedrick and Timothy Hartwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Nesbit, Emory Elliot, Ray Tilley, Dana Akers, Kent Akers, Mickey Juba, Billy Ray Miller, Jimmy Miller and Staff Sgt. Tommy Nesbit.
