PETERSTOWN — Anthony R. “Tony” Brown, age 62, of Peterstown, W.Va. passed away Monday, November 16, 2009 at his home. Born May 1, 1947 at Princeton, W.Va., he was the son of Ruth Goodall Brown of Bozoo, W.Va. and the late Clendal R. Brown. Tony was a Mason for over forty years having worked with Brown’s Masonry and for the last seven years with Dixon Masonry. He was a charter member of the Cedar Branch Native Lodge.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Kathy Ballard Brown of Bozoo, W.Va.; three sons, Jarred Brown and wife Adrienne of Natriona Heights, Pa., Sam Brown of Athens, Ohio and Clendal Brown at home; two daughters, Kristie Martin of Pembroke, Va. and Toni Lynne Brown of Rich Creek, Va.; two brothers, Ronnie Brown and wife Donetta of Bozoo, W.Va. and Gary Brown of Bozoo, W.Va.; two sisters, Barbara Hodges and husband Benny of Lindside, W.Va. and Brenda Riner and husband Ronnie of Bozoo, W.Va.; mother-in-law, Pam Kantsios of Rich Creek, Va.; six grandchildren, Sierra, Sadie, Skylar and Jaden Brown, Bryson Martin and Antonia Forren; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Tony’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 21,2009 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel. A time of fellowship and sharing memories of Tony will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. In keeping with Tony’s wishes, he has been cremated.
