Hattie Arlene Moore Nuckolls

BUD — Hattie Arlene Moore Nuckolls, 93, of Bud, died Sunday, November 15, 2009 in a Princeton hospital following a long illness.

Born June 20, 1916 at Gardner, she was the daughter of the late Frank Allen and Minnie Josephine Burgess Moore.

Mrs. Nuckolls was a homemaker, had been a resident of Bud for the past 60 years, was a member of the Bud Baptist Church, and was a former employee of the Wyoming County Board of Education where she was a custodian at Bud Grade School.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Otis Everett Nuckolls; a son, Shelby E. Nuckolls; and four brothers, Cecil, Paul, Warren Moore and Frank Allen Moore, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Janice Marsh, of Mullens, Alice Buchannon and her husband, Terry, of Alpoca, and Norma Jean Webb and her husband, Howard, of Norfolk, Va.; three sons, Blaine G. Nuckolls and his wife, Marilyn, of Greenville, S.C., Larry R. Nuckolls and his wife, Cathy, of Bud Mtn., and Wayne Edward Nuckolls and his wife, Cindy, of Mullens; one sister, Nancy Bailey, of Kegley; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 12 noon Wednesday at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.

Friends may call today from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
