W. G. Riddle

TAZEWELL, Va. — W.G. Riddle, age 61 of Tazewell, Va. died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. Born June 26, 1948 at North Tazewell, Va., he was a son of the late Cullen A. Riddle and Stella Godsey Riddle. He was the used car manager at Duncan Automotive Network at Christiansburg, Va. Mr. Riddle was a U.S. Army Veteran, an avid Virginia Tech football fan and a Kentucky Colonel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Roberta Riddle.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn D. Riddle; one son, Bryan Riddle and wife, Julie of Alexandria, Va.; one daughter, Lisa White and husband, Lacy White, Jr. of Creedmoor, N.C.; two brothers, Gene Riddle and wife, Pat of Hopewell, Va. and Glen Riddle of North Tazewell, Va.; five sisters, Ruby Stillwell of Ashland, Va., Joyce Chambers and husband, Andrew of North Tazewell, Va., Debbie Sellers and husband, Emmett of Cary, N.C., Charlotte Jones and Teresa Kelly, both of Tazewell, Va.; two grandchildren, Megan White and Nicholas White; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, Va. from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Va. with Ron Carpenter officiating. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Those planning to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home by 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009.
