Hubert (Randy) Roope

WELCH — Herbert (Randy) Roope, 57, 1167 Stewart Street, Welch, W.Va., went to be with the Lord, October 30th, 2009 at Welch Community Hospital.

He was the son of Irene Roope of Welch and the late Herbert Roope. He spent most of his life in Welch, graduating from Welch High School and attended Concord College. Before being disabled, he worked as a loan officer at Northfork Bank and Hall Chevrolet.

Randy was known for his love of baseball, especially Chicago Cubs.

Left to cherish his memory beside his mother is his daughter, Amanda Roope of Huntington, W.Va., who was the love of his life; three sisters, Ginger Radford (husband, John) of Blacksburg, Va., Mary Dawn Lockhart (husband, Wallace) of Welch, W.Va., and Kimberly Grubb of Welch, W.Va., with whom he made his home; one brother, Gregory Roope (wife, Carla) of Elbert, W.Va.; four nephews; and five nieces; special friends, Rick Murensky, Tom Morsi and Grant Mikles.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday, November 2nd, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, W.Va. Officiating will be the Rev. Chuck Hammond.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Mission Ministries, 409 Virginia Avenue, Welch, W.Va.
