NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. — Pauline Shelley Harrison, age 79, of Baptist Road in North Tazewell, Va. died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at her home. Born February 9, 1939 at War, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Sam Shelley and Mary Poliza Shelley. Mrs. Harrison was a member of the St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Tazewell, Va. Earlier in her life, she was employed as a bookkeeper at the former Tazewell National Bank and Farmer's Bank in Tazewell, Va. Mrs. Harrison attended two years of Banking School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn O. Harrison, Sr.; daughter, Gloria Veronica Harrison of Pasadena, Md.; son, Glenn O. Harrison, Jr. of North Tazewell, Va.; sister, Carmella Calo of North Tazewell, Va.; sister-in-law, Judy Burgess of Bristol, Va.; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2009 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Tazewell, Va. where a Rosary Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. with Father That-Son Nguyen officiating.

The Mass of Christian Burial Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
