PRINCETON — Danny Joe Blake, age 60, of Princeton, W.Va., died Tuesday February 2, 2010 at his home in Princeton, W.Va. following a short illness.
Born on March 30, 1949 at Pax, W.Va., he was the son of the late Richard Lee Blake and Flora Virginia Martin Blake.
Mr. Blake was a former employee of BJW Printing and Central Printing in Beckley, W.Va., and retired as the owner and operator of Reliable Printing in Bluefield, W.Va. He was also a licensed auctioneer. Mr. Blake was a member of the Painter’s Chapel United Methodist Church at Speedway, W.Va. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, #1606 in Beckley, W.Va. Mr. Blake had made Princeton, W.Va. his home for the past 15 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Douglas Blake.
Surviving are two sons, Joe Blake and his fiancé Dr. Michelle Postelle of Ghent, W.Va., and Benjamin Blake of Beckley, W.Va.; one daughter, India Blake of Beckley, W.Va.; a stepson, Shane Janatolia of Princeton, W.Va.; and a stepdaughter, Summer Wyatt of Princeton, W.Va.; one brother, Frank Blake and his wife Christine of Oak Hill, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Tatum Blake and Kylie Mitchell.
Memorial services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Sunday February 7, 2010 at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Tommy Mounts officiating. There will be no visitation. Online condolences may be sent to our guestbook at www.roseandquesenberry.net.
